We believe privacy matters. This document outlines how we (Aspen Micro LLC) collect and use your data in service of the Agendas app for Slack. Aspen Micro LLC is a registered LLC in Delaware, United States.
We collect your data in two ways:
Upon installing Agendas into your Slack workspace, we receive data about you and your workspace. This data is kept up to date with updates from Slack as relevant information is changed.
When you enter data into Agendas using actions within Slack. For
example, when you type /discuss Talk about vacations or
use the Agendas user interface to input data.
We collect data with the express purpose of providing you functionality in Agendas. In addition to data you request us to store (e.g. agenda topics), we also store metadata so we can provide specific features. See Slack Scope Justifications for more details.
If we wish to understand feature usage or investigate service issues, we may access your data. In cases where we wish to understand feature usage, we will use aggregated and anonymized data. In cases where we need to investigate issues, we will only use individual data as a last resort.
Data is stored using industry-standard techniques. Specifically, data is stored on the Digital Ocean platform in the United States. Backups are performed continually and these backups are deleted after 30 days. Additional data is transiently stored via Grafana Labs by way of logs. These logs are deleted after 30 days. Your Agenda data is deleted as soon as topics are marked completed and cleared. If you wish to delete all of your data, you can uninstall Agendas from Slack.
In certain specific circumstances we may share the minimum amount of your data to enable us to provide Agendas for you. Here is a list of our current sub-processors and what information they have access to as well as the service they provide us.
Digital Ocean is our cloud provider. Our virtual machines run on their hardware and are covered by their platform privacy policies. https://www.digitalocean.com/trust
Logs are shipped from our Digital Ocean machines to Grafana Labs. We minimize the information we collect in logs. Logs are for diagnostics and understanding usage patterns. Logs are deleted after 30 days. https://grafana.com/legal/
Encrypted database backups are stored with Fly.io. Fly.io does not have the ability to decrypt backups. https://fly.io/legal/privacy-policy/
To provide accurate pricing, we provide Paddle with your current user count.
Before you install Agendas into your Slack Workspace, you'll be shown the permissions Agendas needs. Here's an overview of why we need some of the non-obvious permissions.
To display all the channels and DMs with Agendas on your Agendas Home.
To understand if you're in a Slack Connect channel.
To share Agendas to channels without you having to invite a bot to every channel or DM.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our usage of your data, please don't hesitate to contact us at contact@aspenmicro.com.
